Of Level 70 And Guilds |

I suck at updating this blog. lol
Pallanen made it to level 70 over two weeks ago and here I am just now updating. Oh well, at least I'm here. lol
She made it to 70 in Netherstorm, killing demons. Theres a noble storyline. hee hee Since then she has been working on her Blacksmithing and helping guildies. Pally has always helped guildies a lot. It's one of her favorite things to do. She has even helped guildies in Sairalinde's guild a lot. More recently since I have been playing Saira more.
Saira is now level 49 btw. She leveled 4 times in the past week. She got a new kitty, the white tiger King Bangalesh (sp?) and then I respecced her to 100% Beastmaster. Did that ever make a difference! It's like the kitty and the Hunter are one now and questing is a breeze. Saira's guild mates love that she is on a lot more now too. She has been helping them a lot plus she has volunteered Pally and Merenwen to help. The guild chief promoted Saira to Knight for all the help she has been giving. That was awesome!
Pallanen's guild has been kind of a bummer lately. Once Pally reached 70 the other high levels kept asking her to get keyed for Kara. So I told them definitely I wanted to do that. But in reality she has only been able to join a group once for the first key trip into Shadow Labs. Every other time there has been another group she has not been allowed into it for reasons I'm not sure are valid. The last 2 trips some of the guildies included personal friends over Pallanen. That kinda bugged me.
I know it's just a game and I understand that friends and family are more important than game friends/guildmates. But thats hard to take at times. Pally's guild is made up of a lot of family members. Sisters/Brothers/Sons/Daughters/Aunts & Uncles. Then there are friends of that family group. So I have never been offended about the whole exclusion thing. I'm used to it plus it makes sense to me anyway. I also understand that Pallanen hasn't been the group type anyway.
But the Kara thing makes me feel a little different. She now is Protection specced just to be prepared for doing Kara. Pally has been practicing with the Protection spec and the Defensive stance so she can tank well. I don't like it much but it is necessary for tanking. The one trip into Shadow Labs the tank we had wasn't even using the Defensive stance so I think Pally will be good at it soon. I have been doing all that just for the eventual Kara trip(s).
I guess I shouldn't have thin skin about it but if it continues that she can't be included I guess Pally will have to find another guild. When I sit and think about it I do realize that Pallanen has given a lot to the Guild. More than she has gotten. She has helped countless guildies with mats for their professions. Has helped so many with their quests it can't be counted. This past week she even outfitted a level 17 Guildie Warrior with a whole new set of armor and bought him a blue ax on the AH. He was pathetically under-geared for his level. Then that Warrior went into pvp and kicked ass. He let her know how well he did afterward too. That made me feel really good. But it cost Pally almost 15 gold getting that Warrior up to snuff.
With the exception of one trip into Zul'Farrik (sp?) and one level 70 Mage in the guild who is an awesome friend, the guild has not been helpful to Pallanen anyway. But my sense of loyalty has kept me going with it. She has been in the guild since she was level 35ish. Besides, it is just a game afterall. I don't really dwell on all that stuff. But lately I am feeling a little put-out about the Kara keying thing. Hopefully it's all just in my head (I am a little over-sensitive sometimes) and Pally won't need to change guilds to get to Kara. Sairalinde's guild would love if she came to them so there are options. :)
Well, this post didn't go the direction I expected it would. But thats the beauty of blogging. Whatever is inside a person comes out. I need to update more often. Note to self.... :PLabels: Pally Leveling |

Hey I just stumbled on your blog. Its pretty cool. I just started one myself its called diaryofawowaholic. I have a paladin who is protection myself, he is only level 42 but I like the way its going. I haven't really seen the other specs past the 20's so I guess I can't say much.

About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
