      Getting Rich Quick
      Thursday, May 1, 2008
Suddenly my girls are getting rich. I have made 501 gold in 3 days. I stumbled onto something that works well for making a lot of gold fast. Now that I have started it I wonder how I missed it for so long.

It started because I had Pallanen running through her usual route for gathering Mithril and Iron for Earane to make jewelry. I also had been doing that to get Granuaile mats for her Blacksmithing. I noticed in general chat some people talking about how they make a lot of gold by just selling Mithril and Iron on the AH. One even said he makes a lot better money selling mats without leveling his profession. I thought it was interesting but really didn't take it seriously.

So I filled Pallanen's Mining Bag and went to send the load to Earane. As a curiousity I checked into her bank stash and found that she already had a ton of Mithril and Iron. She really didn't need any more. So I had her send 100 Mithril to Granuaile for Blacksmithing. Then as a test I smelted 160 bars of Mithril and put them on the AH for 20 gold a stack. I then logged onto Granuaile and worked with her for a while to level her Blacksmithing.

Granuaile was short on a few Gems so I logged back onto Earane to get Gems from her. (Earane is my Gem repository. lol) I got the Gems and went to the mailbox to send them to Gran. When I opened the mailbox I saw that there was mail and that every one of the Mithril stacks had already sold. This was a timespan of maybe 15 minutes. Hmmmm.....

So I logged back onto Granuaile and made a bunch of stuff, some of which she kept for the very near future, some she put on the AH for sale. Then I got Pallanen and ran around gathering Mithril again. I wanted to see if the sales would be that good all the time. I sent the Mithril to Earane, 100 this time. She put them on the AH at 25 gold a stack. I figured maybe the price could go a little higher since the last load went so fast. As I stood there at the AH looking over new armor for Earane all the Mithril sold. Within just a matter of maybe 2 minutes all the new bunch sold. Now I knew I was onto something.

So Pally has been running her route for Mithril and Iron again. I put 200 Iron on the AH last night for a really reasonable price. We'll see if it sold tonight. I don't believe in jacking up prices simply because I can. The Mithril price(s) I chose were well below what I saw for sale. Most people are selling Mithril for 35-40 Gold a stack. To me that is way too much. I believe the prices on the AH have gotten way out of hand anyway. But thats another post altogether. For my part, I will sell mats at a decent price all the time. Maybe the costs will come down. Who knows? (Or maybe the higher priced one are really mine that have sold? LOL)

Also last night I checked with Granuaile. All of Granuaile's stuff she auctioned sold too. As a consequence of all this wheeling and dealing the girls have profited 501 gold in 3 days of work. It really wasn't work either because I didn't try real hard to do much. It was fun and at a slow, easy pace. Always along the way when prospecting Pallanen halps someone in need. It never fails that a lower level will ask her for help when they see her. So it's not like I spent hours searching for mats. Basically I think I spent an hour running around and an hour helping lowbies quest. All that and 501 gold to boot.

Yes, I think I'm onto something here.

About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
