New To The Family |
Tuesday, May 13, 2008 |
You may have noticed on the sidebar (or not... lol) two new additions to my WoW family. I mentioned briefly in a previous post that Aerynel has returned. For the record, Aerynel was my first Horde character, a Blood Elf Warlock, that I deleted.
I really don't like Warlocks. But thats a subject for later.
My bff Lisa started a character on the PVP realm Eredar because her boyfriend wanted her to. He has a bunch of friends trying to make a reliable group on the PVP server so they could quest together with a minimum of ganking. So Lisa wanted me to make a character on that realm too so when her guy isn't playing she would have some support. (He tends to be a bit unreliable.) So I thought about it for a while and decided I'd like to try the PVP realm. I also decided that if I was abandoned by this group, as has been known to happen in online gaming, that a Hunter would be best because she would have good fighting skills, decent armor and a tough pet. Lisa decided the same thing and she made a Hunter too.
Anyway, the new version of Aerynel looks exactly the same as the original but this time is a Hunter. She is a lot of fun to play and I really like her a lot. Here she is.....
She currently has a pet Worg named LonChaneyJr. I love old movies and Lon Chaney Jr. was the guy in all the old Werewolf movies that turned into a wolf every night and killed things. :P
My plan, a crazy one to be sure, is to take Aerynel to the Ruins of Mathystra (sp???) once she is 19-20 and get her a Ghost Saber. I think a Blood Elf with a Ghost Saber would be a very rare thing, especially on a PVP server. I know I will have an extremely difficult time just getting to the ruins. Then I have to be able to find the cat and tame it. Call me crazy but thats the plan. Aerynel is now 15. It won't be long and then the adventure begins.
On Eredar I also made another character. The group needed a Priest so I made one. (I like Priests for some reason.) Her name is Earlinde. (I wish I knew how to put the little accent things above the letters in my girls names!) She is now 13. I like her a lot too. Here she is.....
I decided I hate doing the usual, ie: expected, professions so I made both girls Skinners and Miners. That way getting mats for stuff isn't a frustration. I learned from Pallanen's recent experience and decided to gather and sell mats that people need. Trust me, it works. Earlinde already has over 10 gold and Aerynel has 16 gold. Plus their banks aren't getting full of junk. I'm liking the idea. :)
Lisa has her Hunter and also her Rogue up to level 15 also. She has a Leatherworker and a Tailor. I send all my leather and cloth to her and she makes stuff for my girls. It is working out well. The Gold my girls have is from selling mining mats only. Sweet, eh?
We are doing our part for this new group. Busy leveling and gaining skills and gold. So naturally her boyfriend recently decided he was tired of playing. Ha ha! This leaves us pretty much alone to fend for ourselves in Eredar. Just about what we both expected. But we are doing fine without anyone else so I think we'll keep playing the new girls. I know I will.
If worse comes to worse and I get tired of it I will transfer Aerynel to Kul Tiras. I think I'll be deleting Earane soon anyway and that will leave me room for her. Earane is a Warlock and she bugs me. I keep her around for her Jewelcrafting. But this morning I realized that I could easily make my Druid Earanel a Jeweler and delete the Warlock. Earanel is a Leatherworker and that skill doesn't have a lot of value. Not to me anyway. I could get her up to Earane's level in Jewelcrafting within just a few days. That may be the new plan. We'll see.
I am looking forward to seeing how the PVP realm is. Once I get to the contested lands I'm sure the issues will start. I may find that I hate it. I may find that I love it. Only time will tell. :) |

About Me |

About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
