Nice Weekend |
Monday, January 21, 2008 |
My girls were very busy this weekend. On Friday Pallanen pulled off something that, in the reality of the game, means nothing. But for me it was awesome. She managed to wipe out the Windreaver and all his Whirling Invaders all by herself. Every single one of them. It was a task but it was satisfying.
Pally happened to be there because as soon as I logged on a Guildie asked for help with a hard quest. So I went and helped him. Once I was there I thought I might as well grind the Dust Stormers a while for Core of Elements, Essence of Air and Elemental Air. All sell well and my other girls use some of that stuff. Along the way I hoped to get lucky and get a few Breath of Wind.
While I was grinding, maybe only 10 minutes into it. the Windreaver popped in with all his Invaders. He is very hard to kill because he has 4-5 bodyguards with him. But the place was deserted and I knew there would be no help. So I decided to give it a shot anyway. :P
I cleared the path ahead of him of all extra ads and then charged in. I hit the Intimidating Shout to chase away his friends for a few seconds and kept crushing him with my Devastate move. To my surprise, I wiped him up with significant life left. I ran to a safe distance long enough to heal up and then proceeded to kill all the Whirling Invaders on both sides of the valley. (They only respawn as long as the Windreaver is alive.) No one else showed up at all and I eventually wiped them up. Along the way I collected 102 Core of Elements, 47 Essence of Air, 22 Elemental Air and 10 Breath of Wind. Nice haul for not even planning on being there.
On Saturday I helped my little girls (and my friend Lisa) gather mats for professions all morning. I actually managed to find 27 Truesilver ore that morning for Lisa's jeweler. That was an unusual amout for one mornings scavenging. The mats I found for Granuaile helped her Blacksmithing reach 196. Sweet. That afternoon/evening Sairalinde finished all the quests in Un'Goro. She then helped Guildies with quests. Late in the evening I got the mats together and asked my friend Graz if she would enchant Granuaile's new sword with Icy Chill. It looks so awesome enchanted that way. (I forgot to get a screenshot.) Thanks to Lisa Granuaile managd to get this:
Whirlwind Sword Binds when picked up Two-Hand Sword 82 - 124 Damage Speed 2.90 (35.5 damage per second) +15 Strength +14 Stamina Durability 100 / 100 Classes: Warrior Item Level 40
I'll post more on Granuaile later sometime. She has become my absolute favorite. :)
Sunday I planned on leveling Granuaile all day since her XP bar was finally blue. But Lisa needed help in Felwood with some quests so I had Sairalinde there for several hours. She managed to do some of the quests and nearly leveled too. It was fun. Then I finally got to Grainne and did every quest in Duskwood I could. I used the Whirlwind Sword and stayed in Beserker stance and killed everything I came across. It was great. I have definitely decided she will be a Fury Spec warrior.
All in all, it was a busy, successful weekend. I hope the week stays on the same course. |

About Me |

About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
