      Hordes in Darnassus Again
      Thursday, January 10, 2008
I noticed 2 nights ago that 2 Guildies were in Kara. I was jealous. lol I need to chat with my Guildie friend to see how she did. Then I noticed last night she was back in a BG. That’s the way the higher levels I know seem to play all the time. It’s the way they get the good armor and weapons too.

Seeing Guildies in Kara didn’t deter me from staying focused on Pallanen’s recent goals but it did make me want to be there too. I think this weekend I will try to get into a group for the remaining 2 Kara key frags. Pallanen isn’t wearing bad armor. It is actually pretty good stuff. But it isn’t awesome armor either. Her weapons are what are suspect (at least I believe). There is no way I want to be a liability in a Kara Raid group.

I was working on Granuaile’s last step in the Fire Hardened Armor series when I saw in general chat that Darnassus was being raided again by Hordes. Naturally I could not resist it and took Pallanen into the fight. When I arrived I found the main fighting around the tree/bank area. I just picked a red name and charged right in. I managed to kill that one fast. It was a Warlock who never saw it coming. Pallanen likes to kill casters of all kinds so it was satisfying. Then I attacked the closest horde to me which turned out to be a Mage. It went down in seconds. Then the Hordes noticed me and suddenly about 10 of them were on me. One of them had some kind of powerful stun move that made Pallanen just stop, all bent over. They got her.

So I rezzed and healed and jumped back in. I teamed up with a Mage and a Hunter and we managed to wipe out a couple more when suddenly the hordes surged right into where were were. It was like all of a sudden we wers urrounded. No warning. That darn stun thing happened again and they got Pally again. (I need to find out what that was and how to avoid it.)

When I rezzed and healed the fight had moved into the Druid’s Tree. They appeared to be after that dork of a head Druid guy. I headed up the tree but it was so crowded and attacks were coming from everywhere I just retreated a little. When a 70 Rogue gets you from behind you need to get out of the way and heal. They pack a huge punch.

Then some of the Alliance people started chatting about letting them kill the guy. Apparently I am not the only one who can’t stand him. He is an ass. One of the biggest in the game and there was a discussion about how nice it would be to watch him get wiped up. LOL Of all the characters in the game, he is almost my least favorite. (Murlocs are by far the worst things in the game to me.) But I can’t stand that guy. He is more rude and condescending than even the Horde characters are.

But I got tired of waiting and went up to fight anyway. Naturally being in the tight spots got me killed again. But not before dealing out a lot of damage first.

When I rezzed again I rode around looking for them but they were gone. Then realized the hordes were leaving. I went out to the docks and joined in the fight. We killed a bunch of them as most of them left on the boat. Then most Alliance flew to Auberdine to continue the fight. I had to get Granuaile out of the ocean (I left here mid-quest) so I left it to the others.

What happened next was funny. The Hordes were obviously a well organized group. They ended up attacking Menethil while Grainne was finishing her quest. Then they raided Dun Algaz. Then while she was flying to Ironforge I saw the alarms about Hordes in Dun Morogh. They were obviously headed to Ironforge.

Turns out they were trying for the King of Ironforge. That didn’t go so well for them. I turned in my quest and then stood beside the King to watch. The raiders only made it into the room once and that lasted for a few seconds. That King is very well guarded. They rezzed a few times and tried again and again but never made it back into the King’s room. Then they gave up.

It was an exciting evening. Pallanen gets honor points when she kills hordes like that but at this rate, she will never have enough saved for anything great. But the fight is a lot of fun. :P

      About Me

      Name: Jen
      Home: Pennsylvania, United States
About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
