      When Good Mods Go Bad
      Thursday, July 31, 2008
For the past 2 nights I have tried to take Pallanen to Qel’Danas and run her through the dailies there. I say that I have tried because I have yet to complete even one daily quest. Truthfully, I haven’t even begun the first one. The reason is this, I tried my first add-on or mod or whatever you choose to call the programs used to enhance WoW and it keeps locking up the game.

As I have stated many time, I do not trust mods and add-ons. I hear horror stories about hackers using them to hack your account. I don’t know how they do it but that fear has kept me from adding anything to the game. But last week I caved and downloaded Questhelper. It works for all my girls but Pallanen. *sigh

I think it’s some kind of minor irony or something that I finally broke down and downloaded a game mod and it keeps me from playing my favorite character.

But really, I can play Pally I just can’t use Questhelper while playing her.

I started using because of Ki’Leana. I wanted her to level quickly. Plus, I have never done the Horde quests outside the Ghostlands so I got lost a lot. It helped tremendously. I really like it a lot. I tried it with all my girls and it works well. Then I got Pallanen out of bed and took her to Qel’Danas and that’s when I ran into trouble.

Two nights ago I got to Qul’Danas and started out to do the quests around the lake. When I got out there the game just locked up. Then it kicked me off completely. I didn’t think too much about it since that had happened before. So I logged in again and went toward one of those daggerspine guys but when I moved the game locked again. Once again I was kicked and had to log back in. This time sucked thought because while the game had locked on my screen, the bad guys had been attacking Pally. Yep, you guessed it, I had ti ghost walk back to her body.

I rezzed her and ate some food and got prepared to fight. I charged toward a bad guy only to have the game lock mid-charge. naturally you know the story. Kicked, relogged, rezzed, ate food, ready again. But this time I didn’t move. I realized this was more serious. I asked in Guild chat if anyone else was getting kicked off. Two others in the Guild said yes. Oddly, they were both Warriors. So I decided that I should just try to get out of Qel’Danas and see if it was just that realm. But when I tried to move at all, the game locked. I ended up logging back in 3 more times before I gave up. The last time I was just trying to write to a GM.

So I logged onto Ki’Leana and submitted a ticket to a GM. I did a few quests while I waited and then the Gm came on. We chatted about the issues and then he/she asked me to log onto Pallanen again. I did and found myself in Elwynn Forest. The GM had to move her to get her “unstuck”. I ran her around Stormwind for a while to see if she was OK and everything seemed good. The GM said she had been stuck but he fixed the problem. I was happy.

By now it was late so I went to bed. The whole ordeal spanned a couple hours so I was done for the evening. The next night I started out finishing up a quest and AH trip with Aerynel, and then decided to try the dailies again with Pallanen. I got to Qel’Danas and mounted up. Everything seemed OK until I got into the lake area near the daggerspine guys. Then the game locked up again. Once again I had to log on and once again, every time I moved the game locked up. Worse, on the 2nd log in, the area was all respawned and Pallanen was attacked just as the game locked. So I decided to test omething out. I went ahead and rezzed at the Spirit Healer and managed to ride to the Flight Path. I grabbed a flight to the nearest place, which was in the Ghostlands. But when Pally was passing over that darn Lake, the game locked up again.

This time however, I saw red writing pop up in chat that said “Questhelper: quest tracking has crashed and burned”. LOL I believe that is very close to the exact wording. I’m not sure if that had been happening with every crash or not. Maybe I had just missed it before. But now I had seen it and realized that maybe the Questhelper was screwing up Pallanen.

I logged back on again and was very happy to find that Pallanen was still flying. Usually you get zapped back to the start of the flight when that happens. But Pallanen made it to the Ghostlands without further incident. I checked out the map and saw that Questhelper was going nuts. I had 24 quests on Pally’s log and the program was trying to show the best way to do them in order and al that stuff it does. For some reason it never occurred to me that the add-on would be causing the problem. I ran Pallanen all over the Ghostlands for 10 minutes trying to get it to send me that crash and burn warning again. But it never locked up again. For whatever reason, it only crashes in Qel’Danas. At lease that’s the only place so far.

So with the mystery solved I decided to have some fun. So I rode around the little Blood Elves homeland for a while. I danced and flirted with some who danced and flirted with me. I laughed at the ones who sent me rude gestures. I laughed at the guards who did Pallanen almost no damage when they attacked. At one point I was on Sunstrider Isle and a 65 guard was attacking me. The little level 2 Paladin who was hugging Pallanen and dancing with her just laughed and laughed that the guard kept hitting Pally but she was just taking it and not getting hurt. That was fun. I stayed there for a while to let the cool down on my hearthstone recover. Then it was time for bed.

It seems that I can’t use Questhelper in Qel’Danas. It gets confused and takes up too much memory and crshes the game there. So fae it hasn’t done it with Pallanen or any other characters. I hope it works in Outlands in general and most importantly when Pallanen needs to get to level 80. If it doesn’t, it’s no biggie. But it sure would be helpful during that grueling time.

      Ki'Leana At 28
      Wednesday, July 30, 2008
Just some pics of Ki'Leana at level 28, running around in her cool Robes of Arugal.

Here she is on the floating boat to Orgrimmar.

Personally, I find it a little disconcerting when I see Blood Elves running around the 'less than attractive' races' homelands.

Here is Ki running on the Gold Road in the Barrens. Life will be much easier on the girl once she gets a mount.

And finally here is Ki'Leana hanging in Booty Bay. She likes posing like she is a super-model.

      (What a showoff. :P)

      Blah Blah Blah!

Nothing special to talk about. I just feel like talking so.............

I have spent my time exclusively with my Blood Elf girls on Aerie Peak this past 1.5 weeks. The only time I have been away from them has been to finish up in the Battlegrounds with Pallanen, getting her the complete Merciless set of armor. Well, almost complete. I didn't bother with the gloves since Pally has the T4 gloves from Gruul's.

I started playing Ki'Leana on the 17th. She is now level 27. I was shooting for level 30 by the end of this weekend but I didn't make it. The quests in Arathi and in Ashenvale take a lot of time just traveling to them. Once she has a mount the leveling will be faster. I am feeling pretty driven to get Ki'Leana to 70 so I hope I don't burn out. But we all know about my tendency to need variety, don't we? We'll see.......

I have run Aerynel around a few times also. She is one bar from 24. Most of her time has been spent helping Lisa level her Priest. Lisa's girl is now 24. Leveling a Hunter is a piece of cake. I can spend one evening with her and get 2 levels. Not so with the Priest.

Leveling a Priest is a bit of work. I am told it gets easier, especially if I spec Shadow. I plan on doing that once Ki'Leana gets a few more points to spend. Right now I have most of them in talents that help her survive and conserve mana. Mana efficiency isn't easy with my girl. If anyone reading this can give me pointers on leveling a Priest, I'd appreciate it. Remember, my proficiency in WoW is with a Warrior. Thats a totally different mindset.

But it is fun playing the Priest. :)

Life is also different on a new Server/Realm. The people on Aerie Peak are very helpful. Horde and Alliance. I have had several Alliance help me when I was in a bad spot. So I usually will help them when I can. I have had a lot of Alliance characters flirt with Ki'Leana too. Blown kisses, flirty emotes. Thats a little weird but... whatever.

Hordes always jump in to help. On Kul Tiris, thats not always the case. The usual attitude from Hordes on KT is leave me alone .... unless you can help me. Normally people aren't very nice to each other on the Horde side. I wouldn't mention anything so vague like that unless the difference was so noticible. It really is.

The one really huge difference I see between realms is that Alliance groups raid Horde towns incessantly. Horde raids are all the time also. Every place I go there is an Alliance group attacking a Horde town or settlement. I was doing quests in Arathi Sunday and over the span of a few hours Taren Mill was wiped out 3 times by 3 different groups. I guess its fun to the people on Aerie Peak.

I forgot te mention, Ki'Leana kind of got lucky in Shadowfang Keep last weekend. She ended up getting The Robes of Arugal off the last Boss. The stats on the robe are seriously awesome for the level. I say she got lucky because several friends, including Lisa, have only gotten the belt from that guy. Apparently the robe isn't as common a drop? The best part was that Ki'Leana was in a group where she was the only cloth wearer. She didn't even have to roll for it. lol

I'll have to post a pic of her in the new robe. Its pretty cool.

I have found myself missing Pallanen lately. I think tonight I will spend some time with here. Maybe do all the dailies. She hasn't done them in her new armor. The gems I selected for the new armor should make her a serious killing machine. I want to see how much so. Yeah, tonight I'll get Pally out and wipe up some bad guys. Let Ki'Leana rest for a night. She could use the rest.

      Vengeance
      Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Our Battlegroup is called Vengeance. I like that. Why? Because WoW really allows you to wreak vengeance on the mobs who annoy you most. Plus you can do it many, many times to a particularly annoying monster or whatever. Last night I got vengeance on a place. lol

I was playing Ki'Leana and she had some tough quests to do in Deatholme. She held her own fairly well, even against multiple mobs but the respawn rate is high there and the extra monsters seem to just pop up out of nowhere. The deeper into the quests she got the more the poor girl was visiting the graveyard. And that darn Graveyard trip is a long run back to Deatholme.

I was getting pissy about it too.

So Ki'Leana's Guild leader sent a 70 to help her out. That was fun. A 70 Orc Shaman running through Deatholme was a nice escort. By the time he got there Ki had only 2 bosses to kill out of the 5 but it was so welcome that he came and helped. He just waltzed through all the mobs and let Ki'Leana loot everything. Nice. :)

But after turning in the quests I didn't feel satisfied.

So I logged off and got Pallanen out of bed and took her to Deatholme and totally trashed every mob in there. I didn't even loot them. I just left them lay to rot. Pally had a good time wreaking vengeance for me too. She likes adventures like that.

Yes, I do understand that the 2 Deatholmes are on different servers. I also understand that killing computer generated monsters for revenge is kind of silly. But understand this.... it made me feel better. Isn't that why we play games anyway? To enjoy ourselves? Plus, it's just me. :P

I've mentioned before how I will do stuff like that. There are certain mobs that if I am in their neck of the woods I will kill them over and over just becuase they caused me grief at some point in the game. Mor'Laden is one for sure. No matter which alts I am playing, if I am in his area, he dies. When Pallanen was questing in that area originally he kept sneaking up and wiping her. That happened so many times back then. Now he gets it every time I see him.

Those darn Trolls just outside the Arena in STV get it too. Pally had such a hard time there when she was young. Mostly because I had no idea how to play the game back then. But still..... Also all the mobs in the Tower of Althalaxx die when I'm in the area. But I do loot them because the pattern for Robes of Arcana sometimes will drop.

There are a few more vengeance areas that I can't think of right now I'm sure. My list isn't all that long. Really. But it amuses me to go after them over again when I have the opportunity, for whatever reason. I feel much better once I have paid back the monsters who caused me frustration. Last night was one of those times when I just felt better after wreaking havoc on those mobs in Deatholme. Silly? Maybe. But fun all the same.

Kinda makes a person worry for the people I hang with in real life, doesn't it? ;)

      Getting Sucked In..........
      Tuesday, July 22, 2008
My WoW life has gotten complicated. I have been bust working the Battlegrounds to get Pallanen the whole set of Merciless armor. She has the medals she needs and almost 51,000 Honor Points saved. This week she will have the whole set.

I have also been busy with a new character. Her name is Ki'Leana and she is a Blood Elf Priest. I made her last Thursday and by Sunday evening she was 19. I was shooting for 20 by the end of the weekend but didn't make it. lol

      (Pics are forthcoming. Be patient.)

You may ask why the heck I made a new character since I don't level all the ones I already have. Well, let me tell you.... lol I started her because my friend at work has a Guild on Aerie Peak that is growing pretty well. He has been suggesting that several of us here make a character and join in with him. I resisted until I found out that 2 other work friends had started characters and joined his Guild. I started thinking it would be fun to play with peole I actually know for real. So I made a Priest since thats what the Guild really needs.

Here's something funny.... while playing in a group on Sunday (a really bad group btw) there was this rude jerk of a Mage who kept insulting everyone and being a serious ass. He quit the group and just kept yelling insults at everyone for about 10 minutes. Then he asked to be let back in. He said that he would help us if we got our shit together. LOLLOLLOL So I politely told him that we were doing fine without his cry-baby attitude. Then almost simultaneously another person in the group told him he had to be a sad little kid or something to be so nasty to strangers in a game.

That made me wonder... What I said must have made the other player wonder. Suddenly in General Chat this person asked to be whispered if anyone was online and worked in a certain town (the town where I happened to work). So I whispered to her and in short order we realized we knew each other. That character was none other than my bff Lisa! She is the reason I started playing WoW and I didn't know she had gotten sucked in to our work friend's realm too. That was a very cool way to find each other.

Anyway, to end this chattering on and on, I now have a Priest that I intend to get to 70 asap. (So does Lisa btw.) I will stick with Pallanen for Raiding and PVP and I will also get Merenwen to 70, but most of the leveling time for the near future will be with Ki'Leana.

Sidebar: I really like having a Priest. I didn't know how much fun it would be to be able to help people when they are in trouble. I have Eville but I never used her quite right. I will when I fianlly get back to her. Priests don't kill things very fast but they sure do help others a lot. She is fun.

Also, the name Ki'Leana is the proper spelling. Unfortunately the game wouldn't allow that spelling so in game she is just Kileana. Either way she is pretty and so is her name.

I also made some minor changes to my character roster. Earlinde is gone. She was the Priest on the PVP realm. That whole PVP group vanished even before Lisa and I had a chance to join in. Even though they we all gung-ho to get us involved. lol So I gave all Earlinde's stuff to Aerynel and transferred her to Aerie Peak. Aerynel had such an epic adventure getting her pet on the PVP server that I won't delete her. (Its a good story. Check it out here.) That was some serious fun. Plus she had some good stuff and helped Ki'Leana right away.

I also made a Mage just for the heck of it on Aerie Peak. No real good reason. But I do like to have several girls together so their professions compliment each other and help each other. Lisa and I are making sure our professions are a help to one another. I need to change Aerynel's so she is a helper. Right now she is just a money maker, which is pretty cool. I'll think about it as Ki'Leana levels.

So I see now that I do get sucked in sometimes. My favorite girl and my main focus is still Pallanen but having new girls to play with is a lot of fun. And isn't that why we play? For fun when there's nothing else to do? It is a game after all. :)

      A Day Of Work
      Thursday, July 17, 2008
Yesterday I was off from work. Initially I had plans but they fell through. So I did some important stuff like laundry, mowing grass and most importantly, Battlegrounds. LOL

I decided that the free time was a gift so I would go ahead and collect all the odd BG Medals that Pallanen will need for the new epic armor that is available in BGs. I've been avoiding it for a while. I dreaded the first part. I needed 21 medals from Warsong Gulch. *shudder I really don't like that place. But I was in for a nice surprise.

When I started my first BG (after starting my first laundry load :P) it slowly dawned on me that I wasn't playing with the usual evening crowd. The group I was in was well coordinated and kept up the talk. We easily won that first WSG battle. Things were looking up. :)

The pattern went the same way for a while. I actually won 4 out of my first 5 BGs in Warsong yesterday. That has never happened before. Plus the length of time wasn't too bad. One game went 25 minutes but the others were reasonably short. The end result was that Pallanen got all 21 WSG medals by mid-morning. I was kind of stunned because I had planned on working WSG most of my free time yesterday.

I'm not sure why but the daytime Alliance groups are so much better than the evening ones.

So I went ahead and did lawn work and more house stuff. You know, the usual things that interfere with WoW. :P Then I went and got an estimate for new tires since they are going to be needed soon. Then I got myself a Lottery ticket because work really interferes with WoW and I need to win the Lottery so all my girls finally get to 70. Then I (finally) came back to the game early afternoon. hee hee

So now I needed 17 medals from Arathi Basin. I wasn't too worried about those since I do like playing AB. I think it's a fun game. The one thing I don't like is how the Alliance groups seem to complain and quit so easily in AB. More so than anywhere else. But I was feeling positive after my morning experience.

The AB games started out the same way as WSG. Pallanen was in several winners right away. Love those daytime groups! She won 3 out of 5 to start with. Then it was later in the afternoon and suddenly the groups changed. The next 6 medals came individually amid the griping and complaining and quitters of the 'Alliance Cry-Babies Club'. It was amazing the difference between the early groups and the later ones.

Just to give my fair reader(s) an idea.... at one point in a BG we were behind by a grand total of 100 points. The game was only around the half way point. We had 2 nodes and so did the Horde. Then the Horde got the 3rd and thats when people started crying and calling out to let the horde 5 cap. A few of us were telling them to attack and not quit. That the game was easily withing reach of winning. But the boo-hoo's just got worse. One person kept saying the Horde group were too much for us and we couldn't win anyway. But we never went below holding 2 nodes. They all just wimped out. Sad.

At any rate, Pallanen got all her medals out of the way in one day. It was a nice gift. Now all I had to do was grind in Alterac Valley for Honor Points and I'd have the new armor asap. So after dinner last night I started running AV for a while just to get it done. Those evening AV groups are hit and miss. I don't mind them much. The game itself is OK. It's always the same and you can tell if you will win pretty early.

One thing that bugged me last night was when I saw a Warrior wearing the worst looking shoulders I had ever seen. I was laughing about it until I had a thought.... then I inspected him. They were the same ones I was working so hard to get! I left AV and went to Champion's Hall to look at the Merciless Gladiator Armor set for the first time. I 'tried it on' Pallanen and shuddered. It is so butt ugly I just couldn't believe it. The chest isn't so bad but those shoulders and the helm, Yikes!

So now I'm sad. I will get the armor set soon. But wearing that stuff in public is a bummer. I mentioned it on Guild chat and others don't seem to think it looks so bad. I disagree.

So that was my big day off. I worked the BGs and soon I'll have even better gear for my Warrior girl. She may look ridiculous in it, but it would not be a good idea to say that to her. Shes generally a sweetheart but don't piss her off. She may just take out her fashion frustrations on you. ;)

      Merenwen's Exotic Vacation
      Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Merenwen has been a very busy girl this past week. She has traveled the world of Azeroth over and back again. In the process she has encountered many strange and exciting things. Some not quite so exciting.

She has also risen from level 40 to 46.

I have found that playing a Mage is a lot of fun. In previous posts I spoke about how badly I played casters. I have been so used to my girls wearing plate and mail armor that I constantly forget when I am playing a cloth wearer that they are a bit more vulnerable to damage. Quite a bit. lol But I have always liked Merenwen so I decided to try again to learn how to play with her. It has helped to read the Mage forums on WoWWiki also.

I think I'm getting the knack.

Merenwen has been to every corner of the globe this past week questing and leveling. She has done quests in STV (a lot!), The Hinterlands, Tanaris, Arathi, The Badlands, Darnassus, The Swamp of Sorrows, The Blasted Lands and Theramore. The biggest reason for all the different areas she's been to is that she has done the Cortello's Riddle and Sweet Amber quests. Then she did The Princess Trapped (or whatever quest starts that quest line). They all make you travel a lot. But along the way Merenwen has also been able to do a few extra quests since they were available in the area.

During all this time I have only managed to get her in serious trouble 3 times. That is a huge accomplishment for me. I think during her 35 to 40 leveling I got her killed about 1000 times. But I have learned to use her talents wisely these days. Two of the most important ones are the Counterspell and the Polymorph spells. I rarely used them before but now I have learned that they are pretty important. Its a serious amount of fun to see a caster start to throw a spell at Merenwen and use that counterspell and stop them. Then they come running up to Mer and she is shielded and dealing damage. They don't last long at all. I wish I had learned to use counterspell long ago.

Merenwen also has the best outfit I've seen in a while. I forget what it's called right now (duh!) and the Armory is down at the moment but it is a very hott outfit with the best buffs I've seen for the level.

Here is a pic of Merenwen hanging on the beach in her sexy outfit. She was taking a little break. Just like me, she loves the beach so after wiping up a bunch of Pirates she was resting. She was having a good time. lol :P

I would love the have someone make that gown for me for a Halloween costume. Wouldn't that be the coolest?

Traveling as a Mage is so easy compared to other Classes. Merenwen can Teleport herself to Darnassus, Ironforge, Theramore and Stormwind. Her Hearthstone is still set to Southshore (since I always forget about it when I'm elsewhere. lol) so she actually has most of the world within a few seconds reach. That is a huge bonus in my opinion. She can teleport others all over the world also. Just not to Darnassus or Shatt yet. Darnassus will come when she is 50. Shat I believe isn't until 60.

I have read a lot about how to spec Merenwen for leveling. I have apparently wasted a lot of points on useless areas. She is currently almost 100% Arcane. But that isn't the best area for her at her lower level. So I intend to respec this week so she does even better. I think I'm going to try the spec I found on WoWWiki Forum. It is mostly Frost with the important Arcane points used for maintaining Merenwen's Mana. It is supposed to raise her DPS while giving her decent survivability. Right now she does pretty well but taking on more than 2 mobs is hard. This spec should help.

So these days I've been Mage-ing it. It is a lot of fun. I am anxious to get all the old quests done and get Merenwen back to Tanaris and then Un'Goro. I liked those quests. First I think I'll go for the Hinterlands quests so I can have that Hammer she will need in Zul'Farik (sp???). No matter what, I am enjoying the new experiences with a whole new Class.

      Pallanen’s 3rd Trip Into Kara
      Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Pallanen's 3rd trip into Kara was a much better excursion than the first 2. This time around I actually had time to go a long way since it was a holiday weekend. Normally I don't sign up because the raids start too late in the evening and I'd have to quit after maybe 2 hours. Not this time.

I had signed up for the raid with a note that said I'd go as either a Tank or DPS. I would have respecced Pally for the raid should she need to Tank and then gone back to DPS spec after. But the Raid Leader told me he wanted me to Tank with the DPS spec. Specifically for the Moroes fight. His idea was to have me Tank the ads and when it was time to kill Moroes switch back to DPS. I sorta liked that idea. :)

So we went into Kara and buffed up. The Tanks started pulling the ads on the big set of steps near the entrance. That was fun for me. I could use Pallanen's Sweeping Strikes all the time along with Whirlwind and hit a bunch of ghosties at once. We handled all those mobs fairly easily. Once the early stuff was done we went into where Moroes and his groupies were hanging.

This was a place I wanted to come back to. The 2nd trip Pallanen took to Kara the group never killed Moroes so I really wanted this to work out. I geared Pally up with the Tank stuff and got ready to go. (One thing I was reminded of when wearing Tank gear was how much her tanking sword sucks now in the high levels. I really need to upgrade that somehow.) The first fight went OK. I was busily hacking away at the ads but it was obvious that Pallanen's spec was lacking. I couldn't hold the aggro and had to keep chasing my targets around to re-establish. Using Taunt helped on everyone but the female caster. She still just ignored me. We ended up wiping that first time.

Now, I'm not real clear on which wipe it was (we wiped 3 times I believe ???) but I had another of those Duh! moments with Pallanen. I was busily tanking away again and suddenly I noticed that everyone was gone. I was alone in the room with the bad guys. I guess I didn't notice that the group had run for it. That has happened to me so many times. lol I guess having Vent would help. Probably they all ran by a verbal warning.

Whatever. Something happened and I didn't know. So I took off for the stairs and never encountered any problems until I hit the bottom. Then the ads that had been chasing the group were returning. That was unpleasant. I hit the bottom of the stairs and all I saw was a large group of Elites coming right at me. There was nowhere to hide for poor Pallanen. Within a few seconds it was all over. :(

Anyway, on the last fight we managed to pretty easily clear the room of Moroes and his gang. Before starting the last time, I went ahead and switched Pallanen's Crystalblade of the Dranei for her slower Gladiator's Slicer. It isn't a Tank sword but the Crystalblade just wasn't doing it. Using the Gladiator's Sword made a huge difference. Pallanen was able to hold the aggro of whatever mob she was Tanking. Then when all the secondary mobs were done for I attacked Morose himself. I switched gear as we fought and went at him full Fury DPS style. That was fun!

I liked that guy. It was kind of cool the way he would talk in his smooth style. He kept saying something like "Where am I?" and then he would disappear. Then he would say "Oh, here I am" and he would reappear close by. That was funny. But in the end he was done for.

He didn't really drop too much great stuff. I was surprised. I was even more surprised when the Raid Leader offered me a nice Dagger that no one else wanted. Its nothing super special and Pally really doesn't need it badly. But no one wanted it so I took it to use for Pallanen's off-hand. It does a bit more damage than her original off-hand sword.

We then went back the way we had come and headed upstairs. It was a rather longish run with a few fights in between. I thought we were going for that really big woman that has all the hookers around her. (I forget her name. Maiden maybe???) But we didn't. We ended up at "The Opera". It was a funny Opera in that the story line was basically The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy and all her gang were there. Even the Wicked Witch eventually showed up. What a hoot. The Witch turned out to be the real target. She was the big boss in this fight.

The Leader told us the kill order and when the curtain rose we went after the baddies. It was basically an uneventful fight for Pallanen. I was Fury DPS for the rest of the night so it was a ton of fun going at the mobs with the intent to do as much damage as possible. I made one mistake late into the fight where I finished up on a baddie and saw that the Tin Man ad was on two of our group. So I rushed in and started helping. But I was out of order. I was supposed to kill the Cat guy first and the Raid Leader let me know it. lol I broke off and helped kill the Cat while the others finished off the Tin Man. Then the Witch showed up.

I kinda thought she would be tougher than she was but that fight turned out to be anti-climactic. We wiped her up fairly easily. Again, the loot wasn't all that great. Maybe there was something nice for others none for a Warrior, no matter what spec.

Next we went around and around the place (it seemed like it anyway, I was totally lost) until we came to this place with a bunch of elementals. I thought that was odd in that there wasn't a reason for an Elemental to be inside a huge building like that. We cleared the area and went into this huge hallway. Then I saw this giant mechanical guy strolling around. He looked like one of the mechanical guards in Silvermoon City or on The Isle of Kel'Danas. He was called The Curator and he did look bad-ass. Turns out he is kind of Bad-ass. :P

We cleared all the lower mobs and then the 2 Tanks grabbed the Curator's attention. I was not really sure what to do until I saw that the Curator started shooting off these electrical balls at us. We had to run fast and kill the balls before they all linked and blasted us with lightning. Apparently they chain together and the shocks get worse. Pallanen was running constantly chopping up those things. Then there were moments where the Curator weakened and everyone could jump on him. We did that a few times. I thought we were doing OK but I was wrong. That first time we wiped.

I believe we wiped twice on Curator. Maybe. Hmmm......

At any rate, the last time was pretty cool. The group worked out the kinks and we managed to kill all those lightning balls early while the Tanks held Curator in place. I loved using the Intercept when Curator was weakened to charge in and do some damage. Whatever mod or add-on our Raid Leader uses let us know just when to get away again. Eventually we had whittled him down to where he was weakened and didn't spit out any more lightning balls. That's when we all got to attack with everything we had. The Curator dropped shortly after.

I believe the drops were pretty good from Curator. I don't remember them well because once again they weren't Warrior type stuff. But there was quite a bit of rolling for the stuff so I'm sure someone was happy.

That's when I had to quit. It was after midnight and I was falling asleep. There was a Guildie who really wanted to take my place so we replaced me and I went to bed. I found out later that the group killed 2 more bosses. They did something concerning a Chess Game and also killed a Prince. I sure wish I could have kept going. But all in all it was a decent night of raiding for Pallanen.

*Note: I started this long post last week and never got it done until now. Now being the 14th. lol

      About Me

      Name: Jen
      Home: Pennsylvania, United States
About Me: I started playing WoW after my best friend bugged me to play. I soon learned that I really liked it. Now 2 years later I still play and have 20 characters. LOL I am no gaming expert. I am no WoW expert. A lot of the terms and "how to do's" elude me still. But I love to play. All you will find here are the adventures of Pallanen and her sisters. I love them all and they really kick butt. So stay tuned and maybe we can learn stuff from each other that we never knew. xoxo
